(note: as I was studying my first lessons
in Greek New Testament translation,
while examining the soterological question
of salvation by faith alone,
as a gift from God, above,
I completed a survey on the useage
of the Greek words pistis (faith/belief)
and pisteuo (I am believing),
by collecting together every single useage of each word.
While I was doing this I noticed
that there was a phrase which kept repeating.
It was “he that believeth“.
I collected all of the passages together
to see if there was a larger message.
I subsequently printed a booklet
containing all of these passages in 1980.
That is the basis of the following.)
HE THAT BELIEVETH:
Shall be saved
Gave he power to become the sons of God
Shall not perish
Is not condemned
Hath everlasting life
Shall not come into condemnation
Is passed from death unto life
Shall never thirst
May have everlasting life
Jesus will raise him up at the last day
Hath everlasting life
Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water
Though he were dead, yet shall he live
Shall never die
Shall not abide in darkness
Shall do works of Jesus and greater
May have life through Jesus’ name
Shall have remission of sins
Is justified from all things
from which ye could not be justified
by the law of Moses
Shalt be saved
Is empowered by the gospel unto salvation
His faith is counted for righteousness
His faith shall be imputed for righteousness
Shall not be ashamed
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for him
Shalt be saved
Shall not be ashamed
Promise by faith of Jesus Christ shall be given him
Believes to life everlasting
Enters into rest
True faith is a living faith
Shall not be confounded
Is born of God
Overcometh the world
Hath the witness in himself
SHALL BE SAVED
Afterward he appeared unto the eleven
as they sat at meat
and upbraided them with their unbelief
and hardness of heart
because they believed not them which had seen him
after he was risen
And he said unto them,
go ye unto all the world
and preach the gospel
to every creature
HE THAT BELIEVETH
AND IS BAPTIZED
SHALL BE SAVED,
but he that believeth not
shall be damned
And these signs shall follow them
that believe:
in my name shall they cast out demons,
they shall speak with new tongues,
they shall take up serpents,
and if they drink any deadly thing
it shall not hurt them
they shall lay hands on the sick
and they shall recover
Mark 16:14-18
GAVE HE POWER
TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD
He came unto his ownand his own received him not,
BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM,
TO THEM GAVE HE POWER
TO BECOME
THE SONS OF GOD,
even to them
that believe on his name,
which were born
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of manwhich were born
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
but of God.
John 1:11-13
SHALL NOT PERISH
And as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness,
even so must the son of man be lifted up,
that
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM
SHOULD NOT PERISH,
BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
For God so loved the world
that he gave his only begotten son
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish
but have everlasting life
For God sent not his son into the world
to condemn the world
but that the world through him might be saved
John 3:14-17
IS NOT CONDEMNED
HE THAT BELIEVETH
IS NOT CONDEMNED,
but he that believeth not
is condemned already
because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten son of God
And this is the condemnation:
that light is come into the world
and men loved darkness
rather than light
because their deeds were evil,
for every one that doeth evil
hateth the light,
neither cometh to the light
lest his deeds should be reproved
But he that doeth truth
cometh to the light
that his deeds may be made manifest
that they are wrought in God
John 3:18-21
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
The father loveth the son
and hath given all things
into his hand
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE,
and he that believeth not the son
shall not see life,
but the wrath of God abideth on him
John 3:35-36
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION
IS PASSED FROM LIFE UNTO DEATH
Verily, verily,
I say unto you,
HE THAT HEARETH MY WORD
AND BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT SENT ME
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
AND SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDMNATION,
BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE
Verily, verily,
I say unto you,
the hour is coming and now is
when the dead shall hear
the voice of the son of God
and they that hear shall live.
John 5:24-25
SHALL NEVER THIRST
Our fathers did eat manna in the desert,
as it is written,
He gave them bread from heaven
to eat
Then Jesus said to them,
Verily, verily,
I say unto you,
Moses gave you not that bread from heaven,
but my father giveth you the true bread from heaven
For the bread of God
is he which cometh down from heaven
and giveth life unto the world
Then said they unto him
Lord,
evermore give us this bread
And Jesus said unto them,
I am the Bread of Life,
he that cometh to me shall never hunger,
and
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME
SHALL NEVER THIRST
But I said unto you
that ye also have seen me
and believe not
All that the father giveth me shall come to me
and him that cometh to me
I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:31-37
MAY HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE
JESUS WILL RAISE HIM UP
AT THE LAST DAY
For I came down from heaven
not to do mine own will,
but the will of him that sent me
And this is the fathers’ will
which hath sent me
that of all which he hath given me
I should lose nothing,
but should raise it up again
at the last day
And this is the will of him that sent me
that
EVERY ONE WHICH SEETH THE SON
AND BELIEVETH ON HIM
MAY HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE
AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP
AT THE LAST DAY
the Jews then murmured at him
because he said,
I am the bread which came down from heaven.
John 6:38-41
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
And they said,
Is not this Jesus the son of Joseph
whose father and mother we know?
How is it that he saith,
I came down from heaven?
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them,
Murmur not among yourselves
No man can come to me
except the father which hath sent me draw him,
and I will raise him up
at the last day
It is written in the prophets,
And they shall all be taught of God
Every man therefore that hath heard
and hath learned of the father cometh unto me
Not that any man hath seen the father
save he which is of God,
He hath seen the father.
Verily, verily,
I say unto you,
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME
HATH EVERLASTING LIFE
I am the bread of life
Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness
and are dead
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven
that a man may eat thereof
and not die
I am the living bread which came down from heaven
If any man eat of this bread
he shall live forever,
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh
which I will give
for the life of the world
The Jews therefore strove among themselves saying,
How can this man
give us his flesh to eat?
John 6:42-52
OUT OF HIS BELLY
SHALL FLOW RIVERS OF LIVING WATER
On the last day,
that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood
and cried,
saying,
If any man thirst
let him come unto me and drink
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME,
AS THE SCRIPTURE HATH SAID,
OUT OF HIS BELLY
SHALL FLOW RIVERS OF LIVING WATER
But this spake he of the spirit
which they that believe on him should receive,
for the Holy Ghost was not yet given
because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
John 7:37-39
THOUGH HE WERE DEAD
YET SHALL HE LIVE
SHALL NEVER DIE
Then Martha said unto Jesus,
Lord,
if thou hadst been here
my brother had not died.
But I know that even now whatsoever thou wilt ask of God,
God will give it thee
Jesus saith unto her,
Thy brother shall rise again
Martha said unto him,
I know that he shall rise again
in the resurrection at the last day
Jesus saith unto her,
I am the resurrection
and the life
HE THAT BELIEVETH IN ME,
THOUGH HE WERE DEAD,
YET SHALL HE LIVE
AND WHOSOEVER LIVETH
AND BELIEVETH IN ME
SHALL NEVER DIE
Believest thou this?
She said unto him,
Yea, Lord,
I believe that thou art the Christ,
The Son of God
which should come into the world
John 11:21-27
SHALL NOT ABIDE IN DARKNESS
Jesus cried and said,
He that believeth on me
believeth not me,
but on him that sent me
I am come a light into the world
that
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON ME
SHOULD NOT ABIDE IN DARKNESS
And if any man hear my words
and believe not,
I judge him not,
for I came not to judge the world,
but to save the world
He that rejecteth me
and receiveth not my words
hath one that judgeth him
The word that I have spoken,
the same shall judge him
in the last day
For I have not spoken of myself,
but the father which sent me,
He gave me a commandment
what I should say
and what I should speak
And I know that his commandment
is life everlasting
Whatsoever I speak therefore,
even as the father said unto me,
so I speak
John 12:44-50
SHALL DO WORKS OF JESUS
AND GREATER
Philip saith unto him,
Lord, show us the father
and it sufficeth us
Jesus saith unto him,
Have I been so long time with you
and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
He that hath seen me
hath seen the father
And how sayest thou then,
show us the father?
Believest thou not that
I am in the father
and the father in me?
The words that I speak unto you
I speak not of myself,
but the father
that dwelleth in me,
he doeth the works
Believe me that I am in the father
and the father in me,
or else believe me for the very work’s sake
Verily, verily,
I say unto you,
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME,
THE WORKS THAT I DO
SHALL HE DO ALSO,
AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE
SHALL HE DO,
because I go unto my father
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,
that will I do
that the father may be glorified
in the son
If ye shall ask anything in my name
I will do it
John 14:8-14
MAY HAVE LIFE
THROUGH HIS NAME
And after eight days again
his disciples were within
and Thomas with them
Then came Jesus,
the doors being shut,
and stood in the midst
and said,
Peace be unto you
Then saith he to Thomas,
Reach hither thy finger
and behold my hands
and reach hither thy hand
and thrust it into my side
and be not faithless,
but believing
And Thomas answered
and said unto him,
My Lord and my God
Jesus saith unto him,
Thomas,
because thou hast seen me
thou hast believed
Blessed are they that have not seen
and yet have believed
And many other signs truly did Jesus
in the presence of his disciples
which art not written in this book,
but these are written
that ye might believe
that Jesus is the Christ,
The Son of God,
and that
BELIEVING YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE
THROUGH HIS NAME.
John 20:26-31
SHALL HAVE REMISSION OF SINS
Then Peter opened his mouth and said,
Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons,
but in every nation he that feareth him
and worketh righteousness
is accepted with him
The word which God sent unto the children of Israel,
preaching peace by Jesus Christ
(He is Lord of All),
that word, I say, ye know,
which was published throughout all Judaea,
and began from Galilee
after the baptism which John preached,
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Ghost
and with power,
who went about doing good
and healing all that were oppressed of the devil,
for God was with him
And we are witnesses of all things which he did,
both in the land of the Jews
and in Jerusalem,
whom they slew
and hanged on a tree
Him God raised up the third day
and showed him openly,
not to all the people,
but unto witnesses chosen before of God,
even to us who did eat and drink with him
after he arose from the dead
And he commanded us to preach
unto the people
and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God
to be the judge of quick and dead
And to him give all the prophets witness
that THROUGH HIS NAME
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM
SHALL RECEIVE REMISSION OF SINS
While Peter yet spake these words
the Holy Ghost fell on all them
which heard the word.
Acts 10:34-44
IS JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS
FROM WHICH YE COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED
BY THE LAW OF MOSES
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead
no more to return to corruption
He said on this wise,
I will give you the sure mercies of David
Wherefore he saith also in another psalm,
Thou shalt not suffer thine holy one to see corruption
For David, after he had served his own generation
by the will of God fell on sleep
and was laid unto his fathers
and saw corruption
But he whom God raised again
saw no corruption
Be it known unto you therefore,
men and brethren,
that through this man is preached unto you
the forgiveness of sins
And
BY HIM ALL THAT BELIEVE
ARE JUSTIFIED
FROM ALL THINGS
FROM WHICH YE COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED
BY THE LAW OF MOSES
Beware therefore,
lest that come upon you which is spoken of in the prophets,
Behold ye despisers,
and wonder and perish,
for I work a work in your days,
a work which ye shall in no wise believe
though a man declare it unto you.
Acts 13:34-41
SHALT BE SAVED
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed
and sang praises unto God,
and the prisoners heard them
And suddenly their was a great earthquake
so that the foundations of the prison were shaken,
and immediately all the doors were opened
and everyones’ bands were loosed
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep
and seeing the prison doors open
he drew out his sword and would have killed himself,
supposing that the prisoners had been fled
But Paul cried with a loud voice saying,
Do thyself no harm, for we are all here
Then he called for a light
and sprang in and came trembling
and fell down before Paul and Silas
and brought them out and said,
Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
and they said,
BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED,
AND THY HOUSE
and they spake unto him the word of the lord
and to all that were in his house,
and he took them the same hour of the night
and washed their stripes and was baptized,
he and all his,
straightaway,
and when he had brought them into his house
he sat meat before them and rejoiced,
believing in God with all his house
Acts 16:25-34
IS EMPOWERED BY THE GOSPEL UNTO SALVATION
So, as much as in me is,
I am ready to preach the gospel
to you that are at Rome also,
for
I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST,
FOR IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION
TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH,
to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed
from faith
to faith,
as it is written,
the just shall live by faith
Romans 1:15-17
HIS FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
What shall we say then that Abraham
our father as pertaining to the flesh
hath found?
For if Abraham were justified by works
he hath whereof to glory,
but not before God
For what saith the scripture?
Abraham believed God
and it was counted unto him for righteousness
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace,
but of debt
BUT TO HIM THAT WORKETH NOT
BUT BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT JUSTIFIETH THE UNGODLY,
HIS FAITH IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
Even as David also describeth the blessedness
of the man unto whom god imputeth righteousness without works,
saying,
Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven
and whose sins are covered
Blessed is the man to whom the lord will not impute sin
Romans 4:1-8
HIS FAITH SHALL BE IMPUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
He staggered not at the promise of God
through unbelief,
but was strong in faith,
giving glory to God,
and being fully persuaded
that what he had promised he was able also to perform
and therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness
Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him,
but
FOR US ALSO TO WHOM IT SHALL BE IMPUTED
IF WE BELIEVE ON HIM THAT RAISED UP JESUS OUR LORD
FROM THE DEAD,
who was delivered for our offences
and was raised again for our justification
Therefore being justified by faith
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom also we have access by faith
into this grace wherein we stand
and rejoice
in hope of the glory of God
and not only so,
but we glory in tribulation also,
knowing that tribulation worketh patience,
and patience, experience,
and experience, hope,
and hope maketh not ashamed,
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit
which is given unto us
Romans 4:20-5:5
SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED
What shall we say then?
That the gentiles which followed not after righteousness have attained to righteousness,
even the righteousness which is of faith?
But Israel which followed after a law of righteousness
hath not attained to a law of righteousness?
Wherefore?
Because they sought it not by faith,
but as it were,
by works of law
For they stumbled at that stumblingstone,
as it is written,
Behold,
I lay in Sion a stumblingstone
and rock of offence,
and
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED
Romans 9:30-33
CHRIST IS THE END OF LAW
FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIM
Brethren,
my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel
is that they might be saved
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God,
but not according to knowledge
For they being ignorant of Gods’ righteousness
and going about to establish their own righteousness
have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God
FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF LAW
FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law,
that the man which doeth those thing shall live by them
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise,
say not in thine heart,
Who shall ascend into heaven?
That is to bring Christ down from above
Or, who shall descend into the deep?
That is to bring up Christ again from the dead
Romans 10:1-7
SHALT BE SAVED
But what saith it?
The word is nigh thee,
even in thy mouth
and in thy heart
That is the word of faith which we preach,
that
IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS
AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART
THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD,
THOU SHALT BE SAVED
Romans 10:8-9
SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
For the scripture saith,
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him
For whosoever shall call on the name of the lord
shall be saved
Romans 10:10-13
THE PROMISE BY FAITH
OF JESUS CHRIST
SHALL BE GIVEN HIM
Wherefore then serveth the law?
it was added because of transgressions
till the seed should come
to whom the promise was made,
and it was ordained by angels
in the hand of a mediator
Now a mediator is not of one,
but God is one
Is the law then against the promises of God?
Let it not bne so
For if there had been a law given
which could have given life,
verily,
righteousness should have been by law
But,
THE SCRIPTURE HATH CONCLUDED ALL UNDER SIN
THAT THE PROMISE BY FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST
MIGHT BE GIVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE
But before faith came we were kept under law,
shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ
that we might be justified by faith
But after that faith is come we are no longer under a schoolmaster,
for ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ
There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male or female,
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus,
and if ye be Christ’s,
then are ye Abraham’s seed
according to the promise
Galatians 3:19-29
THE WORD OF GOD EFFECTUALLY WORKETH IN HIM
Ye are witnesses
and God also
how holily
and justly
and unblameably
we behaved ourselves among you that believe
As ye know how we exhorted
and comforted
and charged every one of you
as a father doth his children,
that ye should walk worthy of God
who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory
For this cause also thank we God
without ceasing,
because when ye received the word of God
which ye heard of us
ye received it not
as the word of men,
but as it is in truth,
THE WORD OF GOD
WHICH EFFECTUALLY WORKETH
ALSO
IN YOU THAT BELIEVE
I Thesssalonians 2:10-13
BELIEVES TO LIFE EVERLASTING
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
who hath enabled me,
for that he counted me faithful,
putting me into the ministry,
who was before a blasphemer
and a persecutor
and injurious
But I obtained mercy
because I did it ignorantly in unbelief,
and the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant
with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus
This is a faithful saying
and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners
of whom I am chief
howbeit,
for this cause I obtained mercy,
that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering
for a pattern to
THEM WHICH SHOULD HEREAFTER BELIEVE ON HIM
TO LIFE EVERLASTING
Now,
unto the king eternal,
immortal,
invisible,
the only wise god
be honor and glory for ever and ever
Amen
I Timothy 1:12-17
ENTERS INTO REST
While it is said,
Today if ye will hear his voice,
harden not your hearts as in the provocation
for some when they had heard did provoke,
howbeit,
not all that came out of Egypt by Moses
But with whom was he grieved forty years?
Was it not with them that had sinned,
whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest
but to them that believed not?
So,
we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief
let us therefore fear,
lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest
any of you should seem to come short of it
For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them,
but the word preached did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith in them that heard
For
WE WHICH HAVE BELIEVED DO ENTER INTO REST,
as he said,
As I have sworn in my wrath,
if they shall enter into my rest,
although the works were finished
from the foundation of the world
Hebrews 3:15-4:3
TRUE FAITH IS A LIVING FAITH
What doth it profit, my brethren,
though a man say he hath faith and have not works?
Can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food
and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace,
be ye warmed and filled,
notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body,
what doth it profit?
Even so, faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone
Yea, a man may say,
thou hast faith and I have works
Show me thy faith without thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works
Thou believest that there is one God
Thou doest well
the demons also believe and tremble
But wilt thou know, O vain man,
that faith without works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works
when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works was faith made perfect?
AND THE SCRIPTURE WAS FULFILLED
WHICH SAITH,
ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD
AND IT WAS IMPUTED UNTO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS,
and he was called the friend of God
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified,
and not by faith alone
Likewise also, was not Rahab the harlot justified by works
when she had received the messengers and had sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also
James 2:14-26
SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED
Ye also as living stones are built up a spiritual house,
an holy priesthood
to offer up spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God by Jesus Christ
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture,
Behold,
I lay in Sion a chief corner stone,
elect,
precious,
and
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM
SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED
Unto you therefore which believe,
he is precious,
but unto them which be disobedient,
the stone which the builders disallowed,
the same is made the head of the corner,
and a stone of stumbling
and a rock of offence,
even to them which stumble at the word,
being disobedient,
whereunto also they were appointed
But ye are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood,
an holy nation,
a peculiar people,
that ye should show forth the praises of him
who hath called you out of darkness
into his marvelous light,
which in time past were not a people,
but are now the people of God,
which had not obtained mercy,
but now have obtained mercy
I Peter 2:5-10
IS BORN OF GOD
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST
IS BORN OF GOD
And every one that loveth him that begat
loveth him also that is begotten of him
By this we know that we love the children of God
when we love God and keep his commandments
For this is the love of God,
that we keep his commandments
and his commandments are not grievous
IJohn 5:1-3
OVERCOMETH THE WORLD
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world,
and this is the victory that overcometh the world,
even our faith
WHO IS HE THAT OVERCOMETH THE WORLD
BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH
THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD?
This is he that came by water and blood,
even Jesus Christ
Not by water only, but by water and blood
And it is the spirit that beareth witness,
because the spirit is truth
For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the father,
the word,
and the Holy Spirit,
and these three are one
And there are three that bear witness in earth,
the spirit,
and the water,
and the blood
and these three agree in one
I John 5:4-8
HATH THE WITNESS IN HIMSELF
If we receive the witness of men,
the witness of God is greater
For this is the witness of God
which he hath testified of his son:
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON OF GOD
HATH THE WITNESS IN HIMSELF
He that believeth not God
hath made him a liar
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his son
and this is the record:
that God hath given to us eternal life
and this life is in his son
he that hath the son hath life
and he that hath not the son of God hath not life
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God
that ye may know that ye have eternal life
and that ye may believe on the name of the son of God
I John 5:9-13
